Religious Expedition, SALAM: I created this work about two years ago, at the beginning of the Palestinian–Israeli war. I felt I had to respond somehow. Muslims, Jews, and Christians were dying every day—and what struck me most was how these religions share so many similarities, yet people keep focusing on their differences. Consequently, I went around Wrocław documenting religious sites. I found a mosque, a synagogue, and a Catholic cathedral in the city. That’s when I had the idea to create panoramic images of their interiors and blend them together. The result carries a strong sense of symmetry, which I personally like symmetry in art.
